Letter from the Chapter

To all the women reading this,

Welcome to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln! Transitioning from high school to college might be one of the most stressful and exciting times of your life so take every moment in from decorating your dorm room to meeting the people on your university housing floor. The next four years are going to be some of the best years of your life and, like high school, they will go so fast. Being one of many sororities on campus, we are so grateful that you have chosen to go through primary recruitment as one of your very first of many college experiences.

As the Vice President of Membership Experience here at Tri Delta Kappa Chapter, I cannot wait to meet all the amazing women going through recruitment this fall. Sorority recruitment is one of the most rewarding experiences where you get the chance to not only learn something about yourself but the other wonderful women on campus, whether that is the ones going through primary recruitment with you or the women in each sorority. Each sorority brings something unique and different to the table. So, always stay true to yourself and remember who you want to be after the next four years are over because the sorority you choose will encompass women you get to surround yourself with and lean on every day.

Specifically, here at Tri Delta, our sisterhood was founded over 130 years ago on the ideals of truth, self-sacrifice, and friendship. Today, we still hold true to these values through our commitment to academics, philanthropy, and creating everlasting friendships that truly do last a lifetime. Our members at Tri Delta are authentic, passionate, and some of the most driven individuals in everything they do. Each member brings something new to our chapter whether it is their academic intelligence, passion for fashion, or being able to repeat every word of their favorite movie.

Looking back three years ago, I had no idea where my primary recruitment process was going to take me but I wouldn’t trade it for the world because it brought me to Tri Delta, a place I can call home forever. It is also a place where I can always be myself, where girls will push me to be the best version of myself, and where I can be challenged to not only do better in the community but be a better individual every day. So, as you go through recruitment take a look around you and find your group of women who can do the same. This is your recruitment process and your time to shine. Here at Tri Delta, we tell our members to bring you! I hope during primary recruitment you feel you can do the same and cherish every moment because the feeling I had running home to 1601 R Street on Bid Day will stay with me forever. There really is no better feeling than finding a place that you can call home, and for you, I hope that home is here at Tri Delta.
